[productsample/affiliatelink] It’s been ages since I’ve had a Trish McEvoy update and I’ve loved putting the products through their paces over the weekend. There are a couple of stand-out products that are staying firmly in my make-up bag!
The Beauty Booster Lip Glosses (SPF15) are absolutely perfect if you like gloss that gives your lips a lustred look. These are a little bit more ‘lip glowy’ than your average gloss so they look smoother and I suppose you would say, radiant. The shades have a very fine shimmer that doesn’t really show as glittery on the lips but does ensure that the light catches them for ultimate glow. The light pink shade is Sexy Petal (eye-roll) and the buff shade is Sexy Nude. The middle shade seems to be out of stock at Liberty at the moment. Trish’s skill is in barely there or understated make up and these really tick that box. Both Petal and Nude are keepers. There is a nuance of mint just in case you don’t like anything minty – usually I don’t but it’s so hardly there that it’s not bothersome. They’re £22 each.
Next up on the keeper list are the 24 Hour Eye Shadow and Liners. They’re perfect for mono lids (which is all I’m doing at the moment – those complicated cut creases are dead to me now 😉 ) and super-easy to just swipe and go. I didn’t test them to 24 hours but they withstood a pub quiz and wine perfectly and were still in place when I got home on Saturday night. I would suggest though, if you have very oily lids, you use a primer with them which does make things more fiddly but I just can’t see how something oil based stands a chance of withstanding more oil. There are five shades – all earthy – and I have Smoky Quartz and Crystal Grey, both of which I will wear to their bitter end. They’re £24 each.
Finally (I still have some lipsticks but will cover those in a separate post), the Liquid Face Colour. Nominally, you can use this click and twist on both lips and cheeks but to be honest, I think it’s much more appropriate for cheeks. The wash is sheer and very blendable with some highlighting metallic elements. This shade is a light-catchy peach – perfect if you still have a smattering of sun on your skin. It’s £27.
You can see in the swatches how lightful the collection is. If you’ve downsized your make up look or just like a more natural, easy wear vibe, Trish McEvoy is worth exploring. Everything is HERE. In the swatch above, it’s the Liquid Face Colour, followed by Petal, Nude and Brightening Pink, then Smoky Quartz and Crystal Grey.
